Another Marvel Secret Lair has officially been revealed, and this one feels like it was pulled straight from a classic comic book shop.
Secret Lair x Marvel: Spinner Rack Specials was announced ahead of MagicCon Amsterdam and features artwork by Annie Wu, giving five Marvel Super Heroes cards a vintage comic-book makeover inspired by the old spinner racks that once filled comic stores. The drop uses bold colors, classic comic styling, and retro textures that instantly stand out from the rest of the Marvel releases.
While most Marvel Secret Lair drops focus on characters or franchises, Spinner Rack Specials is all about capturing the feeling of discovering a comic book that catches your eye from across the room. According to Wizards, the goal was to recreate the look and energy of classic Silver Age comics through a unique artistic treatment.
What’s Included In Marvel Spinner Rack Specials?

The drop contains:
- Hammerhead, Maggia Boss
- Undead Hand Ninja
- Hex Magic
- Tippy-Toe, Terrific Partner
- Baxter Building
All five cards receive exclusive Annie Wu artwork and are presented in a style that feels more like a comic cover collection than a traditional Secret Lair release.
Why Players Are Already Talking About This Drop

Marvel Super Heroes spoilers have dominated MTG discussions over the last few weeks, but Spinner Rack Specials immediately grabbed attention because of its art direction.
Instead of focusing on flashy alternate frames or crossover gimmicks, this drop leans heavily into comic book nostalgia. The result is one of the most distinctive Marvel Secret Lair releases revealed so far.
Tippy-Toe, Terrific Partner has already generated discussion among Commander players, while many collectors are calling Hammerhead one of the standout pieces from the entire drop. Community reactions have been overwhelmingly positive since the announcement.

Between the Marvel Super Heroes set, Commander decks, and now Spinner Rack Specials, it’s clear that 2026 is becoming one of the biggest years ever for Marvel fans in Magic.
